So you prepare garage gym, or you are set up with a gym, but you are tired of working on a concrete slab. In both cases, it’s time to explore some garage floor ideas. Good, durable floors protect the foundation of your home, your expensive equipment, and most importantly, you and your joints!
So what is the best floor for garage gym? If you’ve ever set foot in a gym box or CrossFit facility (as I’m sure you have), you have seen the solid and durable rubber floor they have installed. Although this is probably the best flooring option (and I am sure what most of us want to have), most of us are not able to provide our personal equipment with this material. So, we need some other options.
First, let’s look at the commercial floor I just talked about. The material you will find in a garage gym is a large global. If money is no problem, these things will be as good as you will get. This is called Active by Regupol. It is offered in many colors, and as far as prices apply to commercial goods, everywhere I have seen it sold requires you to request a quote. You can also buy a tile version of this floor. This is called Aktivlok. I’m not sure how it compares to commercially installed floors, but prices are more easily available without asking for quotes, and cost around $ 4- $ 5 per square foot. So it’s not too bad for high-quality products.
