Whether you’re looking to decorate your kitchen, your laundry room or any other room in the house that has an existing countertop, or if you plan to install countertops, for the first time, calacatta gold marble is one of the most durable and beautiful materials which can be used for surface installations. The use of marble tiles for your countertops will help transform your home into your own private piece of art. The best part is that you can install it yourself.
Place several calacatta gold marble slab tiles in a row. Measure the distance through the length of the tiles, then check the length and width of your counter. The idea is to start with a complete tile on the outer edges and leave the cuts off the corners. By marking this measurement you can see what the size of a cut will have in the corner. If it is too small you can adjust the arrangement accordingly, but it is entirely personal preference.
Place a uniform layer of fine mortar on the surface of the countertop, using your notched trowel. Just spread out enough for three or four tokens until you feel confident that you can extend larger areas. Apply a thin layer of a thin layer over the entire back surface of the calacatta gold quartz tile, with the flat side of the trowel. Place the marble tile in its desired position on the surface of the countertop.
